An independent journal of art & interactionMeet the current edition

The gallery lived inside a frame

The old body document joined paintings, visitor response and newly emerging digital work in a screen-sized welcome.

A narrow strip and a broad gallery window share one frame with abstract paint and digital fragments.
New editorial illustration for the body document’s role within a framed layout; not an old homepage screenshot.

A document designed to sit beside navigation

The saved 2000 body page welcomes readers to an oil and watercolour collection and recommends a 640 × 480 display with a 24-bit colour palette. It refers to gallery links on the left, which makes sense as part of the site’s framed interface. Reading the body file alone removes that neighbouring navigation; the old address is therefore a document within a layout, not a second independent homepage.

The welcome changes as the practice changes

A saved 2004 capture of the same route also introduces digital prints and names the web works Urban Lullaby, Globalisation and What’s for News Today. The comparison records a change in the site’s self-presentation. It does not establish creation dates, sales or the festival claims repeated in the introduction.

The useful connection today

The earlier page asked visitors to browse galleries, write in a guest book and join a mailing list. This edition reconnects the named paintings and projects through current independent records. Its own contact details are separate. The old buying and subscription invitations are historical interface elements, not active offers made by this publication.

Sources and edition note

This is new independent writing at the historical /body.htm address. It reconnects the specific work or project described above. It does not claim byte-for-byte restoration, original browser behaviour, current artist representation or operation of an earlier service. Source images, documents and full texts remain at their archival sources.
